COMMUNITY

Through LearningLife, you can be part of a community of lifelong learners who are looking for interesting experiences, enjoy connecting and reconnecting with interesting people, and want to keep growing.

In Person
Enjoy workshops, lectures, short courses, discussion groups, and events, as well as volunteer opportunities through the Greater Twin Cities United Way.

Online
Connect, learn from, and contribute to the LearningLife community through three types of blogs:

    • Beyond the Book discussion blogs. Online discussions about nonfiction books that grab our attention and stay with us. You can also join in-person dessert discussions where you go "beyond the book."

    • Expert blogs. Learn what U of M and community experts have to say about topics that are affecting our lives and stirring our imaginations. Get informed and enjoy great writing.

    • Community blogs, where our voices shape LearningLife. Read what others say and add your voice.

What do you want from your LearningLife?
Over the next two decades, 78 million American baby boomers will navigate life transitions and reassessments, transforming themselves, their communities, and their planet as they go. Can LearningLife help as you ride your own age wave?

What does living a renewable life mean to you?
Educator John Gardner said: " The society capable of continuous renewal will be one that develops to the fullest its human resources, that removes obstacles to individual fulfillment, that emphasizes education, lifelong learning and self discovery." What would you add to this?
